International Medical Graduates Living in Ontario

If you are an international medical graduate (IMG) residing in Ontario, you can receive information, advice and ongoing support from the Access Centre as you work through the regulatory process. 

In addition, registered clients of the Access Centre will have access to free one-on-one appointments with advisors as well as information sessions and workshops.

Three Pathways for International Medical Graduates
Choosing a career path is one of the most important decisions you will ever make as an IMG in Ontario.

To help you explore your options, the Access Centre has created a comprehensive program with three defined choices. You may choose one, two or all three streams, if you meet admission requirements.

Stream I: Medical Licensing  - This stream will prepare you to compete for a residency-training position in Ontario.

Stream II: Career Options---Employment and Coaching  - This stream will help you find employment in a non-regulated health field.

Stream III: Career Options---Education  - This stream offers information and support regarding educational programs in Ontario since additional training might be needed when aiming at an alternate career in one of the regulated or non-regulated health professions.

Each stream will bring you one step closer to career success in Ontario, however you define it. And to make sure you succeed, the Access Centre will provide personal one-on-one support and counselling every step of the way. Register to become an Access Centre client.
