Community Partnership Program

I’m Jay Orchard, and I’d like to introduce you to the Community Partnership Program, a community-based initiative of HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency (HFO MRA).

Our program staff, called Community Partnership Coordinators, operate within Ontario’s 14 Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) areas to work with local health care stakeholders and encourage collaborative action between LHINs.

Here’s how Community Partnership Coordinators can help:

Hospitals, employers and stakeholders:

  • Assist recruiters and stakeholders with community-based recruitment and retention.
  • Develop recruitment and retention best practices, policies, guidelines and materials that can be used across the province.
  • Assist with health human resource planning within each LHIN area and integrate the province’s health human resource strategy with local needs.
  • Support HFO MRA physician recruitment efforts and improve coordination of recruitment and relocation province-wide.

Residents and practicing physicians:

  • Work closely with residents, practising physicians and their spouses/partners to find suitable practice opportunities in Ontario, in addition to making them aware of the available positions posted on HFOJobs.
  • Improve integration and retention of health professionals within their new communities.

To find your local Community Partnership Coordinator, click on the map below.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
