Hospital Eligibility
The EDCDP is intended as an interim
stop-gap measure to high-need hospitals while they continue to pursue all options for local ED coverage, including physician recruitment effortsfor their ED.
Acceptance for EDCDP is based on relative highest needs for ED coverage assistance (e.g., the percentage of the ED complement being recruited, hospital size, degree of isolation and other factors). At any given time, only approximately 20 hospitals are on the program.
