Private Career Colleges

Private career colleges deliver a wide range of vocational programs across Ontario. Private career colleges are independent private organizations that offer a diverse range of post-secondary training and education programs. As of February 2008, there are more than 500 private career colleges registered by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU).

A large percentage of the private career college programs approved by the Ministry are in the health science field. The most common health science programs are dental hygiene, dental assisting, medical laboratory technician and personal support worker.
