University Student

You are in the process of pursing an undergraduate degree at university. If you’ve set your sights on becoming a physician, you’ll need to apply to medical school.

Medical Schools

There are 6 medical schools in Ontario. They are:

Admission Requirements

Medical schools in Ontario typically require students to complete at least 3 years of an undergraduate program leading to a bachelor’s degree as one of the admission requirements. They also often require applicants to take biological and physical sciences courses at university. Strong academic standing is essential.

Additionally, you may need to write the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

Take a look at the admission requirements for the medical schools to which you are applying to make sure you meet all the academic requirements.

When you are ready, you can apply to medical schools through the Ontario Medical School Application Service (OMSAS).
