The McGuinty government is proposing legislation to give regulatory colleges new inspection powers that would improve the monitoring of high-risk procedures, such as cosmetic surgery, being performed in facilities that are not currently regulated. If passed, the legislation would help to improve patient safety and the quality of care in the province.
