Clinical Simulation Initiative
The Clinical Simulation Initiative is a program that provided funds to nursing schools to purchase clinical simulation equipment. This equipment, which is now in place in every nursing school in the province, gives students a broader range of clinical experience and build their skills and confidence before they enter the workforce.

Re-entry Training Positions for Canadian Physicians
Through the Re-Entry Program, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) offers funding each year for physicians currently practicing in Canada to re-enter postgraduate medical training. For Re-Entry training positions beginning in July 2009, the ministry has funding for a total of 50 positions for qualified physicians.

Repatriation Program: Additional Postgraduate Medical Training Positions in Ontario
The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is funding additional postgraduate medical training positions in Ontario to recruit physicians who have completed postgraduate residency training and require up to two years of additional training to meet the certification requirements of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
Upon graduation, physicians will be required to practise in an area approved by the Ministry as underserviced for their specialty for a period of time equal to the length of additional Ontario training received through the program. The Ministry will offer assistance to physicians to obtain an employment agreement upon request. This program is open to graduates of Canadian, International or U.S. medical schools.
