The College of Nurses of Ontario is the governing body for more than 140,000 registered nurses (RNs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) in Ontario. The Web site provides regulations and registration information, requirements to enter the profession, and practice standards.
The Ontario Nurses' Association is the trade union that represents 52,500 registered nurses and allied health professionals. The Web site provides information to assist members in matters of contract interpretations, contract enforcement, and patient care concerns.
The Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario is the professional association representing more than 20,000 registered nurses in Ontario. The Web site provides advocacy information for the profession, education, and links to career information.
The Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario offers education programs, certifications and publications, and advocates on behalf of the registered practical nurse profession through policy and legislation.
The Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario represents nurse practitioners who work mainly in primary and acute care in Ontario. The organization strives to provide professional support for nurse practitioners and increase public awareness of the profession.

The Council of Ontario University Programs in Nursing promotes the advancement of nursing by influencing university nursing education, promoting standards of excellence in university nursing programs, and promoting research and scholarly activity in nursing.
The Nursing Education Initiative provides reimbursement for professional development courses/programs, as part of a government nurse training and education fund for RPNs and RNs. Information is available through RNAO and RPNAO.
The Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario is a charitable foundation that provides financial support for nurses and nursing students to further their education and to engage in research.
Nursing Students of Ontario represents and acts as a resource for Ontario's nursing students.
