Preparation for the Internationally Educated Nurses Competence Assessment Program (IENCAP)

The goal of this session is to help participants become familiar with the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) which is a part of the College of Nurses of Ontario’s assessment process for Internationally Educated Nurses.

The session will include:

  • An overview of the IENCAP and OSCE.
  • Review of common questions and problems associated with the OSCE.
  • Practice with mock stems and a Standardized Patient.
  • Strategies and resources to help participants prepare for the OSCE.

You may only attend the session once.

Preference will be given to those with an upcoming date to take the IENCAP assessment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must have received direction from the CNO to take the IENCAP assessment.
  • If you are not already a client of the Access Centre, please register online.

  • The name and date of the session you would like to attend; and
  • The date you are scheduled to take the IENCAP assessment (if you have a confirmed exam date).
