Access Centre for Internationally Educated Health Professionals
As part of the HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency, The Access Centre helps internationally educated health care professionals living in Ontario navigate the licensing, certification and regulatory process.
Community Visit Program
Health care professionals and their spouses may be reimbursed for travel and accommodation expenses within Ontario to visit a designated underserviced community to assess practice opportunities.
HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency
The HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency, an initiative of the HealthForceOntario strategy, helps to manage the number, mix and distribution of qualified health care professionals practising in Ontario.
HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRR Initiative)
The Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention (NRRR) Initiative offers taxable financial incentives to each eligible physician who establishes a full-time practice in an eligible community of the province. The grants range between $80,000 and $117,600, paid over a 4-year period.

Ontario Physician Locum Programs (OPLP)
As part of the HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency, The Ontario Physician Locum Programs (OPLP) provide centralized and coordinated locum physician assistance for hospitals, communities and physicians across the province.
Physician Outreach Program for General/Family Practitioners
1. Primary Care Clinics: A program where authorized physicians under arrangement with the UAP travel to provide primary care services at UAP nursing stations/clinics for up to 2 clinic days per week.
2. Physician Telephone Backup: The physician(s) provide immediate and direct telephone back up to nurses/nurse practitioners requesting assistance.
Provides funding each year for physicians currently practising in Canada to re-enter postgraduate medical training. For training beginning in July 2014, the Ministry has funding for a total of 50 positions.
Regional Advisors of HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency work closely with residents, practising physicians and their spouses/partners to find suitable practice opportunities in Ontario.
Repatriation Program: Additional Postgraduate Medical Training Positions in Ontario
Funds additional postgraduate medical training positions in Ontario to recruit physicians who have completed or partially completed postgraduate residency training outside Canada and require up to 2 years of training to meet the national certification requirements of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
