The Interprofessional Health Education Innovation Fund (IHEIF) was an initiative administered by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to develop innovative education programs to assist health care providers in interprofessional/interdisciplinary development activities, skill enhancement and retraining throughout all stages in their careers. The IHEIF reflects the value of different health professions working together in an interprofessional care setting to advance quality patient care.
Seed Funding was designed to allow institutions without an established interprofessional infrastructure or partnerships necessary to put forward a strong proposal for IHEIF funding to develop a framework and find the partners to allow them to prepare a solid interprofessional project for the future.
