Welcome to the inaugural edition of CPC Source, Hamilton
Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN region. This e-newsletter is
intended to keep you up-to-date on health human resources
in the province and your region. If you have any questions

- Dr. David Dec, a family physician in Niagara Falls, received
the ROMP Larkin Health Professional Education Award for
2010.This award recognizes an individual for their outstanding
commitment and dedication to community-based health
professional education and/or the promotion of the health
professions within Ontario’s rural and smaller urban communities
as a career. Congratulations David! Keep up the great work!
- The Halton McMaster Family Health Centre in Burlington had its
official opening. It is an official teaching site and currently works
with residents and medical students. The new centre will allow for
an expansion of McMaster’s teaching program.
- College of Family Physicians of Canada — Emergency Medicine
Program physicians or Emergency Medicine physicians are
urgently needed in the local hospitals. Any physicians interested
in filling shifts, please contact me for more details.
- The first joint appointment between a LHIN and a School of
Medicine was recently announced—a collaboration between
HNHB LHIN and McMaster University’s Faculty of Health
Sciences (see Latest News)
