Welcome to the inaugural edition of CPC Source, Champlain LHIN
region. This e-newsletter from HealthForceOntario Marketing and
Recruitment Agency (HFO MRA) is intended to provide you with
news and updates about health human resources in the province
and your region. You may be wondering about the name: CPC is
short for Community Partnership Coordinator and I am your Source.
My role is to help you with your recruitment needs, and to link you
with HFO MRA and other government programs and resources.

• The Wave 5 application process for 30 new Family Health Teams
  is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on June 25.
  The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has resource documents
  to assist with your application.
• The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has announced two
  new initiatives:
• HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and
  Retention Initiative (HFO N3R)
• HealthForceOntario Return of Service Program
  (HFO ROS)
• Looking for summer locums? Post your opportunities on
  HFOJobs. Don’t forget, we can do the posting for you.
• Practice Ontario is a new dedicated job search service, created by
  HFO MRA, for postgraduate medical residents. PracticeOntario @
  U of T is the first medical school to launch this service.

• Congratulations to the 147 new MDs who graduated from the
  University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine this year!
• The U of Ottawa Department of Family Medicine will host a new
  career fair this fall instead of the traditional research day fair in the spring.
• HFO MRA has launched a new regional web page for Champlain.
