Welcome to the inaugural edition of CPC Source, North West LHIN region.
This e-newsletter from the HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment
Agency (HFO MRA) is intended to provide you with news and updates
about health human resources in the province and your region. In July,
I will celebrate my 2nd anniversary as CPC in the region and I have
thoroughly enjoyed travelling to meet with communities to discuss your
specific recruitment and retention challenges.

• The Wave 5 application process for 30 new Family Health Teams
  is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on June 25.
  The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has resource documents
  to assist with your application.
• The Wave 3 application process for 14 new Nurse Practitioner-led
  clinics is now being issued. The application deadline is 5 p.m.
  on June 25.
• The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has announced two
  new initiatives:
• HealthForceOntario Northern and Rural Recruitment and
  Retention Initiative (HFO N3R)
• HealthForceOntario Return of Service Program
  (HFO ROS)
• Looking for summer locums? Post your opportunities on
  HFOJobs. Don’t forget, we can do the posting for you.

• Practice Ontario is a new dedicated job search service, created
  by HFO MRA, for postgraduate medical residents. PracticeOntario
  @ U of T was recently launched, and Johanne Labonté (CPC
  North East) and I are working with NOSM to offer the same services.
  We will present on practice opportunities to NOSM PGY1 residents
  on June 29.
