- There are lots of good happenings in Campbellford! CMH won the 2011 Quality Healthcare Workplace Award – Gold at the OHA HealthAchieve and kudos to Dr. Kevin Nugent for winning the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Naomi Rae-Grant Award.
- Congrats to Robert Biron, President and CEO of Northumberland Hills Hospital, for being the recipient of the 2011 Graduate Leadership Award from the Society of Graduates of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation.
- Rouge Valley Health System and Lakeridge Health have woven leadership development into the fabric of their organizations. What a great best practice example.

- The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recently announced funding to support the provincial Primary Care Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) Lead Pilot Program. The creation of the Primary Care LHIN Lead role is intended to strengthen and focus the efforts that local primary care providers and LHINs have made to date to address local challenges. The new Primary Care LHIN lead for Central East LHIN will be announced soon.
