Community/Rural Physician Eligibility
All physicians funded via a Rural Northern Physician Group Agreement (RNPGA) are eligible for RFMLP.
Non-RNPGA community criteria:
- Rurality Index of Ontario (RIO) score ≥ 75; or
- RIO ≥ 40 and < 75 and no more than 7 full-time family physicians in the community
Check your community’s RIO score
Non-RNPGA Physician criteria:
- Physicians must be working full time based on community definition, and
- Physicians must spend at least 50% of the community definition of full-time providing primary care services.
